AmberCycle is focused on intermediate and basic chemicals. These chemicals form the core of the chemical industry, each with large, established markets. We develop processes that enable our partners to produce the exact same chemical that they or their customers use today, but from renewable feedstocks. By ‘exact same’, we mean that the chemicals produced by our processes meet the same specifications and have the same chemical structure as those produced by conventional petroleum-based processes. Our initial focus has been to develop and commercialize bio-based processes for intermediate chemicals, and we are now leveraging our technology platform to pursue in parallel the commercialization of processes for higher-volume basic chemicals, as well as additional intermediate chemicals. Our technology platform and intellectual property developments will allow AmberCycle to rapidly develop and deliver processes for numerous chemicals. |
