By adopting a specific management practices from Simon Sinek and Dan Pink in conjunction to the desired social impetus that businesses need to maintain highly skilled workers, ASSET utilizes this study to formulate the ideas behind its model.

Case Study #3: Organizational Performance--AMA Study

In 2007 the American Management Association produced a survey regarding the nature of high performance organization. This was a comprehensive survey that took into consideration hundreds of companies ranging from Fortune 500 to even small local businesses. The study was designed to identify key factors that produced high performance.

This study outlined five core components:

  • Strategic Approach
  • Customer Approach
  • Processes and Structure
  • Leadership Approach
  • Values and Beliefs

If each one of these elements aligned together, an organization would experience high growth. What they also noted was that each element was determined by one critical factor: the highly skilled worker.
