The portal aims to assist in providing tailored tools and opportunities for networking. There is no tangible product being created that would raise safety issues that would impact safety from a researcher, public or environmental perspective.

Our team did not submit any BioBrick parts for this project.

3. Is there a local biosafety group, committee, or review board at your institution?

There is currently no biosafety group at our institution.

4. Do you have any other ideas how to deal with safety issues that could be useful for future iGEM competitions? How could parts, devices and systems be made even safer through biosafety engineering?

Mentorship on best practice biosafety protocols from representatives within the scientific community.
