We are working on a prototype Amplino: A qPCR machine that works well outside of the lab, in the conditions where Malaria is prevalent.
The device (as shown below) is being designed to deal with complex environmental conditions, such high humidity and unreliable power supply. Furthermore, it must be easy to use so the availability of trained personell is not a limiting factor.
